Review: Environ Focus Care Youth+ Range

It’s been a while since I posted anything on my blog, but I have an excuse (kind of) – you see, the last month or so has been a whirlwind as I’ve been abroad in Oz and the US, and then moved house a few days after landing back in CT. Which may sound like a cop out, but I’m sticking to it.

That being said with all the travelling I’d been doing, my skin was naturally starting to suffer,  so when I returned to find an Environ drop from Rubybox,  I was over the moon and couldn’t wait to try out these products. I had been sent some of the products from the new Focus Care™ Youth+ range and, as I had just celebrated my 29th birthday in NYC, it couldn’t have come at a better time.

I received and reviewed the following products:

1. Focus Care™ Youth+ Avance Elixir (30ml – R1,360)

Avance Elixir has a powerful combination of ingredients that may leave the skin looking luminous and younger for longer, and is applied after cleansing and before moisturizing, morning and evening.

2. Focus Care™ Youth+ Revivial Masque (50ml – R1,020)

Revival Masque leaves the skin feeling smoother and looking younger with a healthy radiance, and improves softness and smoothness, as well as firmness. You start off using this masque for 10min twice a week, eventually building up to leave it on for 20min, at which point it can be used nightly prior to moisturizing.

3. Focus Care™ Hydrating Oil Capsules (Pack of 30 capsules – R730)

Hydrating Oil Capsules deliver a concentrated burst of vitamin enriched hydration for the skin, which helps skin look visibly refreshed and energised. You can add these capsules after moisturizing for an added boost of hydration.

Before I tell you about my experience, let me show you. Here’s a large, up close photo of my face before (sorry – I’m not happy about it either):

And here’s my face after using these products for 3 weeks (I had moved in the interim, which is why I couldn’t do an after in the same spot):

I absolutely loved trying these products out. The serum is wonderful, and is absorbed quickly, which is great because you don’t want to feel weighed down by a number of products on your skin. The capsules made my skin feel well hydrated and smooth, and I would definitely keep adding these to my skincare routine for a pick-me-up when needed. But of all the products, the masque was my absolute favourite. I do have a soft spot for masques, and maybe put too much faith in them, but you can feel this one work as soon as you put it on. And it’s so easy to apply – the pot is designed so that you can squeeze out the necessary amount, and it comes with a brush for you to paint your skin with. You feel your skin begin to tingle as it’s applied, which is normal and why you only start out leaving it on for 10min at a time – and afterwards your skin feels tighter and smoother. I’m a huge fan now.

These products are only available at a registered Environ Stockist, and you can find your nearest one here. I stopped by my one, being the Montclare Sorbet (handy as I was headed there to do my eyelashes), where the entire range is available, as well as a promotion; perfect if you’re looking to try these out yourself soon!
